The total purchase price for the horse is [AMOUNT]. The Buyer will pay the price (check one): ☐ in full at signing by [PAYMENT METHOD]; or ☐ as a deposit of [AMOUNT] at signing with the balance of [AMOUNT] due on or before [DATE]; or ☐ on the payment schedule attached as Schedule A. Any deposit is applied to the purchase price and is otherwise governed by this Agreement or, if a trial applies, by the Trial Period Addendum in Section 11.
The parties elect one of the following (check one). This election controls what the Seller does and does not promise about the horse.
☐ AS-IS SALE. The horse is sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with all faults. Except for the Seller's representation of ownership in Section 4, the Seller makes no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including no warranty of soundness, health, temperament, freedom from vices, suitability for any particular discipline or purpose, or fitness for any use. The Buyer has had the opportunity to inspect the horse, to ride or have the horse ridden, and to obtain the pre-purchase examination described in Section 5, and the Buyer accepts the horse in reliance on the Buyer's own judgment and examination and not on any statement by the Seller.
☐ SALE WITH EXPRESS WARRANTIES. The Seller warrants only the following, as of the date of delivery, and makes no other warranty: [LIST EXPRESS WARRANTIES — for example: the horse is sound for light riding; the horse is free of the vices of cribbing, weaving, and stall-kicking; the horse has no known chronic lameness]. The Seller does not warrant the horse's future performance, show results, or suitability beyond what is expressly stated here. Any warranty claim must be made in writing within [NUMBER] days of delivery.

The Seller represents that the Seller is the sole legal owner of the horse; that the Seller has full right and authority to sell it; that the horse is free of any lien, security interest, lease, or other claim except [DISCLOSED ENCUMBRANCES, IF ANY]; and that the Seller has disclosed to the Buyer every known material health condition, injury, surgery, chronic lameness, vice, and behavioral issue of the horse, including [KNOWN CONDITIONS, IF ANY]. The Seller will deliver clear title free of undisclosed claims.
